We hear about “แดกแดส€แด‹-สŸษช๊œฐแด‡ ส™แด€สŸแด€ษดแด„แด‡” all the time. We all say we want it, but how many of us are actively pursuing it?  How can we manage to give 100% at work but also still make time for what lights us up outside the office? ๐Ÿ’กโœจ

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, I talk to my fair share of candidates who are looking to make a change in hopes of finding that balance. Sometimes it might mean finding a new position, but many times it can be achieved through making a few changes in our lives. Hereโ€™s some tips on how to find that sweet spot in lifeโ€ฆ

๐™Ž๐™š๐™ฉ ๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™™๐™–๐™ง๐™ž๐™š๐™จ: Itโ€™s crucial to take charge of your schedule and set some boundariesโ€ฆ and then stick to them! When youโ€™re at work, give it your all. But also carve out some time each day for yourself. Schedule that early morning OrangeTheory workout, midday walk, or plan to meet a friend for wine after work (or if youโ€™re like me, do all three!) Just find something you enjoy every day & let it recharge your batteries! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿšถโ™€๏ธ๐Ÿท

๐™‹๐™ง๐™ž๐™ค๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฏ๐™š ๐™๐™–๐™จ๐™ ๐™จ: Take a moment at the start of every day to prioritize your tasks. I like to write down first thing in the morning the 3 most important things I can do today to make myself feel accomplished when I go to bed that night. And then I make sure to do them! โœ…โœ…โœ…

๐™‡๐™š๐™–๐™ง๐™ฃ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™Ž๐™–๐™ฎ ๐™‰๐™ค: Sometimes you just have to say no to additional work or social commitments if your plate is already full. Itโ€™s not a sign of weakness; itโ€™s a way to protect your time and energy for the things that matter most to you. Delegate, delegate, delegate! ๐Ÿ™…โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™…โ™‚๏ธ

๐™‹๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™˜๐™š ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ก๐™›-๐˜พ๐™–๐™ง๐™š: Self-care isnโ€™t selfish; itโ€™s essential! You canโ€™t pour into otherโ€™s cups if yours is empty. Make time for activities that nourish your body, mind, and soul, whether itโ€™s exercise, meditation, hobbies, or spending quality time with loved ones. ๐Ÿง˜โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•บ๐ŸŽปโ›ณ๐Ÿ‘ซ

๐™๐™ฃ๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ช๐™œ ๐™๐™š๐™œ๐™ช๐™ก๐™–๐™ง๐™ก๐™ฎ: For many of us, our devices have become extensions of our bodies & we feel lost without them. As convenient as this makes it at times, it also makes it almost impossible to โ€œget awayโ€, recharge, and be present in the moment! Make a conscious effort to unplug regularly, whether it’s for an hour before bed or during weekends. โŒ๐Ÿ“ฑ

๐™€๐™ข๐™—๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ˆ๐™š๐™จ๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š๐™จ๐™จ: Hereโ€™s the thing about work/life balance – it can be messy. There will be days when you feel like youโ€™ve got it all figured out, youโ€™ve got every plate spinning in perfect unison, & youโ€™re a rockstar! Then there will be days when you feel like a disaster & everything is out of control & all of your plates are falling & crashing. And guess what? Thatโ€™s ok! Life is messy and crazy and imperfectโ€ฆ and thatโ€™s what makes it beautiful! Every day is a new opportunity – embrace it! ๐ŸŒŸ

Working towards แดกแดส€แด‹-สŸษช๊œฐแด‡ ส™แด€สŸแด€ษดแด„แด‡ is an ongoing journey. Sometimes it requires big steps like looking for a new position and sometimes it requires just making small baby steps toward your goal every day. Either way, just keep pressing forward – it will be worth it! ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐ŸŽ‰
